Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with Claris Health empowers you to directly impact women and families in Los Angeles. Our volunteers—from medical professionals to community advocates—provide essential support that expands our reach and strengthens our services. Together, we create positive change through compassionate, personalized care.
Mobile Medical Unit
Join us at a mobile medical site and volunteer to help with setting up, recruiting patients, assisting patients with check in/paperwork, passing out resources and referrals, assisting with general cleaning, etc.
Baby Store Makeover
Lend your organization skills to our Baby Store, where families “shop” for baby necessities (including diapers, wipes, clothing, food, and equipment). From sorting through new donations to tidying the room to organizing shelving units to creative design, this is a fun volunteer opportunity for individuals, families, or groups.
Every Mother’s Advocate (ĒMA)
ĒMA is a court-approved, prevention program designed to advocate for moms in crisis. Train to become an ĒMA advocate, and let us pair you with a mom-at-risk or a mom with a current open Child Services case. You will provide classes and support, ensuring every mother has equal opportunity to achieve stability and keep her family together.
Small Group Opportunities
Throw a baby shower for a client with your office, church, or community group. There are also opportunities to assemble hygiene kits for our mobile patients or volunteer for a parenting family event.
Volunteer Testimonials

Sarah
I get to have a front seat to a mother’s story and support her by showing up each week and being a non-judgmental advocate for her while also taking her through a 10-week curriculum that supports her as a woman and a mother in today’s world. This work is extremely important to me because, as mothers, we already judge ourselves so much. To have someone rooting for us who shows up from a place of love is a huge gift. Regardless of different hardships, the mother I’m mentoring and myself have a lot more in common than I thought, and I’m learning a ton of self-compassion from her. It’s becoming one of the greatest gifts of 2022.

As someone who doesn’t have children, volunteering at Claris has been an eye-opening and rewarding experience. It’s incredible to be part of an organization that provides so much care and support to families in need. My time at Claris has deepened my understanding of the immense challenges mothers face and the tremendous impact a supportive community can have. Claris truly stands out as a vital resource for the community, and it’s been inspiring to see the love and dedication that make your organization flourish. Hearing stories from families whose lives have been transformed by your care has been deeply moving. It’s humbling to know that even small acts - whether it’s organizing diapers, setting up tables for a gala, or having meaningful conversations with those who walk through your doors—can contribute to the life-changing work you do. Claris does incredible work, and it’s a blessing to witness the beautiful fruit that comes from it. Thank you for letting me be a small part of this mission.

Volunteering at Claris provides an incredible opportunity to seek the welfare of Los Angeles and care for people in our community. Real lives are changed (both clients and volunteers!) by the amazing work Claris is doing. I am grateful to serve in this wonderful organization!

Volunteering as an EMA advocate has been such a rewarding experience. Seeing women from all walks of life walk through a difficult journey and being able to give them the tools to help them be a better mom is so humbling. I have made life long connections and learned so much from their experiences. I am so grateful for the opportunity to develop relationships with these mamas.
